DailyBusiness Style Guide
Welcome to the DailyBusiness Style Guide! Following these guidelines will streamline the editing process and ensure a smooth publishing experience for your articles.
For a deeper understanding of the content we seek, please refer to our Writer’s Guidelines.
1. Article Length:
- Keep articles concise, preferably under 1,000 words.
2. Subheading Formatting:
- Format subheadings in “Heading 2” style in the CMS. They should be in lowercase sentence format, without a period at the end.
3. Including DailyBusiness Links:
- Incorporate at least three “Related” links within your article. Search for relevant terms on the DailyBusiness site and link to recent articles using the format “Related: Article Title” in bold, normal font.
4. External Editing Support:
- Professional editing assistance is encouraged to ensure the highest quality of content. Articles with excessive spelling or grammar errors may be rejected. Proofread your work or seek assistance before submission.
5. Linking Practices:
- Link only a few words, avoiding entire phrases for a smoother reading experience. Use reputable publications for links instead of blogs, including your own. Self-promotional links should be used sparingly, with editorial discretion applied. When citing statistics or quotes, link to the original source.
Thank you for adhering to these style guidelines. We appreciate your contributions to DailyBusiness and look forward to publishing your impactful content!
